The PCircle Coanda’s design solves a specific challenge where the physics of creating air diffusers that create a “coanda effect” were at odds with the aesthetic requirements of designers and architects. This challenge has proved particularly difficult to solve in air diffusers that supply air, as opposed to those that simply extract it.
Modern buildings require high quality air supply and extraction. Occupants don’t expect to feel strong jets of air or currents, but a high amount of air still needs to be circulated according to modern building standards. Standard diffusers blow out air in spikes, with the air flow forming a shape like that of a torch light. But air diffusers that create a “coanda effect” can supply a very high volume of air without users feeling it. The “coanda effect” is when a jet of air or fluid wraps around and then follows the contours of a convex surface. In air diffusers, the effect is that the air flow spreads parallel to the ceiling rather than downwards in jets. This means if you are standing directly underneath the diffuser, you still won’t feel the direct jet of air – this makes it much more comfortable for users.
Because of the physics of creating the “coanda effect”, it is hard to have diffusers with the sharp 90° edges architects are looking for. But we have achieved this by offering a frameless design, a gypsum-based product that can be plastered over and painted.
All PCIRCLE standard models can be adapted to the needs:
- 100mm or 125mm – these are the smallest standard connection nozzle diameters.
- 160mm – this is the medium diameter of the standard connection nozzl.
- Can be 1 slot if you need up to 200 m3/h air
- Or 2 slots if you need bigger air capacity
- 200mm – these are the largest standard connection nozzle diameters.
- Can be 1 slot if you need up to 300 m3/h air
- Or 2 slots if you need bigger air capacity
The diffuser cap is supported by the new Click system. This system makes it even easier to put the cap in place correctly. It is also more environmentally friendly and has a higher operational temperature range than the magnets previously used.
This is the most versatile unit. It fits the design of most rooms and provides comfortable air flow in majority of situations. PCIRCLE, like all other frameless diffusers, can be used for both air supply and air extraction.

Like all Ventmann products, the PCIRCLE Coanda is environmentally friendly, thanks to Ventmann’s use of a unique gypsum-composite. These diffusers have significantly lower embodied carbon than their aluminium or plastic counterparts. Gypsum also has the advantage that it can be plastered and painted over, enabling maximum discretion when the diffusers are installed. This is further enhanced by the frameless mount.
